This is a product that is crafted in America, by Americans! WHAT?! This was paramount in my purchasing process. And, After talking to the helpful and knowledgeable staff, I was convinced these were people I wanted to do business with. Super friendly, patient, and answered my basic and pretty stupid questions without hesitation.

DST Tarp: My initial thoughts...the fabric seemed less than durable. I put that notion to rest after a buddy's daughter rode the stuff sack (w/ tarp inside) through a cliche parking lot for about an hour, dirty but no holes. Kids are a hell of a way to test durability.

The following weekend the fam and I went to the lake, temps ranged from high 20's to high 80's. The tarp offer great sun protection for my 4mo old, kept the wind off of us and also stayed dry in a light shower. We were hit with basically all the weather that could be thrown at you in mid-march in WestTexas. Cold, Windy, Rainy, HOT and Sunny.

While I haven't "field" tested per se, I am initially impressed with the weight, size/shape, tie-outs points, overall construction of the product. Time and I will surely test the durability of the tarp but, I'm more than happy thus far.

Can't wait to get my hands on my new pack and put it to use on some NM spring gobblers!

Veteran tarp camper here. Just got this tarp so I havent slept in it, although I anticipate it will be just like tarp camping. I can comment on: construction quality is superb. I can see that this tarp will last. It simply is constructed better than other lightweight tarps I have used. The center ridegline tieout with cordura reinforcement gives you more options than many other tarps. I dont understand why others dont do this also. Whats great is if you dont want to have a pole in the center, you can still tie it off from the outside while getting the extra space. I expect this to be great for the forest, which is my intended area of use. The size is just right for me: enough space for me and my gear and sitting room in a variety of pitches. Not too much extra fabric to deal with, but the right amount for both open pitches and adequate weather protection. Every woodsman (or woodswoman) ought to be comfortable with a tarp and this is a sturdy, well built tarp which I look forward to many great nights under

After trying a couple trips with a 5x8 blue tarp as my emergency shelter for my family, it only took one trip to realize I needed something different. I found this tarp online and the center reinforcement allows me to carry a super light tarp and not worry about puncturing it when i set it up in the flying diamond. That shape holds my wife, 2 small kids and 2 dogs nice and comfortable while any afternoon storm blows over. Not to mention I cut almost a pound from my pack over the blue tarp!
