    COMES WITH:

    • Shelter canopy
    • Carbon Pole - 5 sections
    • 20 stakes
    • 3 tubes of seam sealer

    SEAM SEALING:

For best results we recommend seam-sealing your tent.  You can do it at home or have us do it for you (adds 2-3 weeks)(if we seal the shelter it will be shipped without extra tubes of sealant):

    Seam Sealing Service

    • The 4 Person Tipi includes 3 tubes of SilNet seam sealer, enough to seal the entire tipi with a tube left over.
    • Pitch the shelter normally and seal the outside seams.
    • The easy way to seal is to run a thin bead of sealant along the seam, then press it in with a finger, wiping the excess on a paper towel.
    • Alternatively, you can use an acid brush from a hardware store to spread the sealant.

    INTRO TO HOT TENTS:

The most common questions we get about hot tents are:

    • How do you not burn the tent down?
      • The stove jack is a high temp fiberglass material rated to several thousand degrees.  The tent material never touches the hot pipe.  You can get pinholes from floating embers, but a small dab of silicone seals the pinhole and doesn't hurt the shelter.
    • How does a floorless shelter work in wet weather?
      • Really darn well.  Don't pitch in a depression obviously, but the ground inside dries out quickly, and it's super convenient to just walk in with muddy shoes (or dogs) and not worry about getting your floor dirty.
    • What about condensation?
    • What about carbon monoxide?
      • It's truly not a concern.  We include a peak vent, plus the shelter will draw air through the zipper and under the sod skirt.  If you're still concerned, leave a door unzipped 8" or so at the bottom to allow more venting.

    1. Perfect Shelter

After a solid year of researching shelters, I finally decided on the SO 4-man Tipi....and I cannot be happier. At 6'4" I was looking for a tent that would allow me room to stand up, offered an option for a stove, and if needed could fit another hunter with gear. This Tipi delivers on and excels in all those requirements! My first trip with it was a three day trip to the Shenandoah, it was unseasonably warm, not a problem, with the sewn-in screen doors, I left them open and got a breeze going through the tent when needed. Hopefully, for my next trip the temps will finally drop and I can test out the stove option. For my fellow east coast guys, I know the number one question is the "what about bugs"...it honestly was not a problem. For the space to weight this Tipi offers, it is hard to beat. on 12th Oct 2017

    2. Lightweight, Spacious & Simple

This pass weekend I had a chance to set this shelter up paired with the SXL Titanium Stove. This shelter was extremely spacious, I plan to use this for 2 people and gear. The set up is simple stake the outside perimeter and assemble the carbon fiber pole and its done. Once its up to get addition room there are loops all the way around you can tie out. I will use those loops to give extra room if sleeping more than 2 people or use in heavy winds or snowfall. For 2 people and all their winter gear I see this being the perfect size and very spacious. I'm impressed and happy with it and will use this for my winter and shoulder season go to shelter for sure. on 5th Feb 2017

    4. Update

I posted an unboxing review and said I would get back and after a year of use, here I am. Purchase every thing they have to offer for the tipi the floor, the screens on the doors, the half nests purchase it all at once because if you are a 4 season camper like myself it will make your life so much easyer. My best trip with my tipi was in Feb when the east cost got 4 feet of snow. Eastern wv. Snow shoeing the weather turned up and all mother nature had to offer in dolly sods came at me. The tipi was strong was sturdy and held up in some brutal winds. Great product from some amazing people.

The bad... this is not a quick set up.
It took a strenuous 2 hr in a blizzard like conditions, with only 15 feet of visibility. To get the tipi up. Once the stove was fired and wood collected though I was able to keep the stove rocking all night and sleep with a wool blanket only, in the tipi wile outside was negative 45 to 55 with wind chill.

    5. Beyond excellent

I received my 4 man tipi exactly when I was supposed to and all communications were timely. I was nicely surprised at the good quality of the bag that the tipi came in. Nice lightweight carbon fiber pole and steaks work great.

Setup of the tipi took me a few times (learning curve), I also chose to put it up on a very windy day and the tipi didn't budge an inch. Seam sealed the inside and outside seams and I appreciate the cost affects of doing it myself rather than paying for it.
I am very pleased with the ample amount of room inside with my stove and chimney.
I would recommend this tipi to anyone looking for room, quality, and being lightweight.

    6. Excellent quality and design.

Received my tipi exactly 5 days after placing my order. Could not be any happier with the product. Workmanship is outstanding. I ordered the medium stove as well. The stove is perfect. on 23rd Aug 2016

    9. unboxing

On unboxing the quality feels great, there were a few unexpected extras in the box that were not said to be there in product discription. Thank you SEEK! Good quality stakes though I won't be able to use them, as Dolly Sods in the winter will require snow stakes. The product arrived about. 4-5 days in advance, which make every consumer happy.
I haven't been able to set up the system yet but I will post a review then. So far all is great and very happy with this company!

    10. Perfect solo tent

I've spent 40+ years backpacking in Colorado and slept many nights in lightweight but small tents. Camping in Seek Outside tipis has been a revelation in luxurious space without a weight penalty. The 4 man tipi works really well as a solo shelter. Lot's of room without feeling claustrophobic when needing to retreat from the rain for a couple hours. My tipi has two screen doors which are really nice when the bugs are bad and give me a nice view of the sky at night. I also own an 8 man tipi with a stove and it is great for early and late season camping when nights are chilly. on 6th Jul 2015
