Cimarron 4p 2.0
OVERVIEW:
The Cimarron is a lightweight and durable 4 person pyramid-style tipi tent designed to last and withstand all weather conditions. Its rectangular design and single pole pitch makes the Cimarron easy to set up and easy to use in the backcountry. This 4 person tent refines the classic design of the tipi tent with more usable space, giving you more room with a smaller footprint. The cimarron hot tent comes standard with a stove jack, making it perfect for a hunting tent, winter camping tent, or family camping trips.
Named 'Best Non-Freestanding 4-Season Tent' and 'Best Hot Tent for Backpacking' by OutdoorLife.com in 2025, the Cimarron delivers unmatched four-season performance and lightweight versatility for serious backcountry explorers.
The legend Redefined
This is the shelter we wish we could have built when we started. After 15 years of making tents, the 2.0 upgrades are a culmination of everything we've learned about creating tents that perform year after year
What's new with 2.0 shelters? We have refined the patterns to reduce sag and get a tighter pitch, added more reinforced guy-out points for more head room and weather resilience, and added awesome accessory options, like our popular floor liner system. If you have questions about backwards compatibility with older Cimarron models and accessories, shoot us an email at info@seekoutside.com

PITCHING:
- Choose where you want to sleep and where you want the door to be.
- Stake the corners of the shelter in a rectangle shape, ensuring that the angles are as square and true as possible. Avoid overstretching the fabric to prevent a bell-shaped bottom that reduces interior space.
- Make sure the vent and stovejack are open or closed as desired before raising the pole, as they may be harder to reach once the pole is up.
- Insert the pole and raise the shelter.
- Stake out the doors.
SEAM SEALING:
For best results we recommend seam-sealing your tent. You can do it at home or have us do it for you- To seal the shelter, pitch it normally and seal the outside seams.
- You can run a thin bead of sealant along the seam, press it in with a finger, and wipe away excess on a paper towel.
- Alternatively, you can use an acid brush from a hardware store to spread the sealant.
INFO ON HOT TENTS:
Temperature Rating- We use high temp silicone coated fiberglass material, rated to several thousand degrees, for the stove jack. The tent material never touches the hot pipe. If there are any pinholes from floating embers, they can be sealed with a small dab of silicone without damaging the shelter.
