Guardian - A 13,617 foot peak in the San Juan Range of mountains in Southwest Colorado.
The Guardian is an ultralight two person hot tent that is lightweight enough for solo trips. No holds barred, that's what we designed it to do.
If you take solo trips and value space, but also do trips with two people, the Guardian is a good fit. Throw in wood stove capability and late season comfort opens up. The Guardian is a bit larger and a small amount heavier than the Silex or Eolus, but with more room and geometry that allows for the use of a wood burning tent stove. The result is a tent light enough to pack on solo trips, but big enough for two ultralight minded people in cold weather, with a tent stove.
The Guardian pitches with two trekking poles and the small footprint means you can squeeze it into tight spots. Careful catenary cuts allow for good seam tension which translates to wind and weather performance. The doors open taller than the Eolus, which gives easier entry and exit.
Our patented Zipperless Doors make this tent easy to use, plus more durable and lighter weight than most.

Q. What are the differences in the Eolus and Guardian?
A. The Eolus is a smaller and lighter weight shelter for two people, but you can't use a stove in the Eolus with two people. The Guardian door opens taller than the Eolus, making it easier to enter and exit.
Q: What are the differences in the Guardian and the Cimarron?
A: The Cimarron is more spacious for two people with a stove, but quite a bit heavier for solo use. The Guardian fits solidly into the big solo or ultralight two person hot tent category.
